The American Academy of Pediatrics has revised its guideline and now recommends that all infants and children, including adolescents, have a minimum daily intake of 400IU of Vitamin D beginning soon after birth.
We have always known that Vitamin D is important in maintaining good bone health, but research now supports a potential role in maintaining immunity, preventing fatigue and possibly preventing diseases such as diabetes and cancer.
