We feel that it is very important that parents be able to speak to their child’s physician to discuss concerns or ask questions. We also realize that it can be quite difficult to arrange a callback time, and some issues are too urgent to wait. For these reasons, our physicians will always try to speak to you when you call. If your physician is unavailable for some reason, you can choose to speak with one of the other doctors.
If you are calling for a prescription refill, please be sure to have your pharmacy phone number available. Refills are called into your pharmacy only during office hours to assure that your medical records are available to your physician.
If you are calling after office hours, please call our office number and you will be routed directly to our answering service. If the situation is life threatening, call 911.
If you require medical attention after office hours, you will likely be instructed to proceed to St. Paul Children’s emergency department where a pediatrician, trained in emergency medicine, will be available to evaluate and treat our child. They will then contact our on-call physician.
